About Dr. Bawcombe
Dr. Bawcombe received his Undergraduate Degree in Biology at State University of New York at Binghamton as Cum Laude and a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. After graduation he attended State University of New York at Buffalo where he went to Medical School. Dr. Bawcombe traveled to Richmond, Virginia for the next three years where he completed his preliminary year of medicine and his residency at Virginia Commonwealth University. During his last year from 2008-2009 Dr. Bawcombe was the Chief Resident and received the Kenneth Tuck Resident Advocac Award from the Virginia Society of Ophthalmology. He continued South to Gainesville, Florida where he completed a Vitreoretinal Surgical Fellowship at the University of Florida.
Dr. Bawcombe received certification from the American Board of Ophthalmology in 2011 and holds a Florida Medial License. He chooses to participate in many professional memberships:
